ITC takes recycling lessons to Schools

ITC WOW Clubs in Schools - Creating Cleanliness Ambassadors of School Kids

As part of the initiative, ITC will set up WOW Clubs in 2000 selected schools in Hyderabad and conduct creative activities. Aimed at educating and engaging school children as 'Bala Swachhagrahis', the programme will encourage students to practice and spread awareness about waste segregation at source and sustainable management of waste.

Speaking on this initiative, Mr Vadiraj Kulkarni, chief operating officer, Paper Boards and Speciality Papers Division, ITC Ltd, said "The aim is to raise children's awareness and engage them as change agents for spreading awareness among their parents, family members and the neighborhood. Awareness of children is pivotal for achieving Swachh Bharat".
