- In ITC Sonar being the only hotel in the world to earn carbon credits under the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism.
- In going the extra mile to power four Luxury Hotels —ITC Gardenia, ITC Windsor, ITC Maratha and WelcomHotel Sheraton Rajputana through renewable energy. ITC Grand Chola, the upcoming hotel in Chennai will also be run on renewable energy.
