From Seed to Snack: ITC Celebrates the Journey of the Potato!

This International Day of Potato, we celebrate the journey of the potato! ITC is a part of every step of its value chain, from the seed to the snacks you love!

The journey begins at ITC’s Technico Agri Sciences, where scientists carefully develop and nurture tiny & high vigor seed potatoes TECHNITUBER®. These high-yielding, climate-resilient and disease-free parent seeds are delivered in pre-sprouted, ‘field-ready’ conditions, ideal for cultivation.

From there, the journey moves to the farms, where farmers nurture these early generation seed potatoes, under Technico’s agronomy guidance and expertise. Through an integrated agri value chain, ITC supports sustainable farming practices that help transform these high vigor tubers into thriving potato crops.

Once harvested, the potatoes travel to ITC’s food factories, where they are made into the snacks you know and love! From the crunchy chips of Bingo! to the crispy fries and delicious patties from ITC Master Chef - every product is part of a journey built on science, sustainability, innovation and care.
