Team ITC Celebrates Swachhata Hi Seva 2026!

Under the theme “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag; Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat”, ITC’s Social Investment Programme, Mission Sunehra Kal, brought together communities, schools, local governments, SHGs, Mohalla Committees, sanitation workers and citizen groups to drive action. With a focus on Jan Bhagidari, public-space transformation, source segregation, environmental stewardship, and sanitation worker wellbeing, the campaign created meaningful impact across communities:

- Around 2 lakh citizens, including 22,659+ children and youth, participated in Swachhta Pathshalas, awareness campaigns and competitions.

- 3,180+ cleanliness target units, garbage vulnerable points and hotspots in communities were transformed.

- More than 2,500 MT of waste was managed, including 70 MT of plastic waste recovered through segregation, recycling and plastic reduction initiatives.

- The campaign also reached 14,000 sanitation workers and waste collectors through health, safety awareness, holistic well-being and felicitation initiatives, recognising their vital contribution to maintaining clean communities.

- Communities, guided by Swachhata Sathis supported by India Sanitation Coalition, undertook water body cleaning and plantation activities, linking sanitation with environmental restoration.

- Green Temples initiatives encouraged temple committees, devotees and communities to participate in cleanliness, source segregation and environmental stewardship, reinforcing the spirit of Jan Bhagidari under Swachhata Hi Seva.

Together, these efforts demonstrate the power of collective action in building cleaner, healthier and more sustainable communities.
