ITC's multi-dimensional Afforestation programme

Climate change is affecting both the environment and livelihoods, making the need for sustainable, long-term solutions more urgent than ever.

At ITC, one way we're doing this is through our Afforestation initiative.

By working closely with farmers and communities, our multi-dimensional initiatives—Social Forestry, Farm Forestry and Agro Forestry—have helped transform degraded and under-utilised land into sustainable, income-generating assets, supporting more than 270 million person-days of employment, while contributing to large-scale carbon sequestration and livelihood generation.

As a result, the programme has, so far, covered over 14 lakh acres.
