ITC InfoTech India Limited was the first organisation in India to be certified by Microsoft as a COE (Centre Of Excellence) in e-commerce technologies.

Now, ITC Infotech had earned the unique distinction of being the "Microsoft
E-Commerce Partner of the year" for 2000-01.

ITC Infotech is now closely working with the e-commerce group of Microsoft as a partner in providing B2B and B2C solutions using .NET technologies.

The Centre of Excellence program involved workshops conducted by Microsoft Consulting Service personnel for knowledge transfer in technology and best practices, followed by the application of these into a full cycle project.

ITC Infotech developed 'Project Golden Expressions', (www.goldenexpressions.com) a B2B e-commerce application, for the greetings cards business of ITC Limited. The solution provides online selection, ordering and catalogue management of greeting cards to around 60 distributors in key cities across India. Eventually it will be rolled out to 200 distributors covering both cities and small towns.

ITC Infotech was able to plan, design build and implement the application with a quick turn-around time of 4 months with the Microsoft Solution Framework (MSF) as the project execution framework.

Through this certification, apart from gaining expertise in standard Windows 2000 technology areas, ITC Infotech has also built significant expertise in BizTalk Server 2000 for Enterprise Application Integration and Commerce Server 2000 for B2B/B2C solutions.

All this has been made possible because of the large highly talented pool of ITC Infotech's software engineers certified by Microsoft.

ITC Infotech is now partnering Microsoft in developing Asia's largest online shopping mall using the latest Microsoft technologies.
