ITC shareholders overwhelmingly approve ITC Bhadrachalam merger

The Calcutta High Court-convened meeting of ITC shareholders took place on the 7th of December, 2001 at the Science City Auditorium, Kolkata under the Court-appointed Chairmanship of Dr Tapas Kumar Banerjee to consider the amalgamation of ITC Bhadrachalam Paperboards Ltd. with ITC Ltd. The result of the poll was overwhelmingly in favour of the resolution. Nearly 98% of the votes were polled in favour of the resolution.
The Chairman of the meeting has certified that the resolution had been passed by requisite majority.
