ITC has decided to file a suit for defamation against NDTV Profit.

Since last evening (9/2/2010) the channel has been carrying an extremely misleading story claiming, amongst other things, “falsification”, “malpractice” and “ambiguity” in ITC’s Accounts for the period 2005 – 2009.

This is false, and in spite of this being pointed out in writing, the Channel has been continuing this story (and tickers on the screen), besides not communicating ITC’s clarification.
