~ Sachin embellishes Sunfeast Avenue of Stars with his hand imprints ~

On the occasion of Sunfeast Open 2007, Sunfeast the flagship brand from ITC Foods launched a special edition of Sunfeast Sachin Fit Kit multi-grain range of healthy products co-created with Sachin Tendulkar. It is for the first time in India that an icon of the stature of Sachin Tendulkar has been actively involved in the product development process as co-creator of the Sunfeast Sachin Fit Kit range. It is the shared vision of Sunfeast as well as Sachin Tendulkar that products under the Sachin’s Fit Kit range will enable create “Champions of Tomorrow”.

Unveiling the Special edition of Sunfeast Sachin Fit Kit multi-grain range, Mr. Ravi Naware, Divisional Chief Executive, ITC Foods said, “The Special Edition of Sunfeast Sachin Fit Kit multi-grain range focuses on active health and fitness and is a universal value proposition for consumers across all age groups. Sachin is more than an icon – his image projects an aura of a committed and enduring sportsperson. We felt that Sachin’s persona, the Sunfeast Open tournament and Sunfeast’s own philosophy of constant innovation and delivering the best to its consumers were an apt trio to offer this special scheme to our consumers”.

The Special Edition of Sunfeast Sachin Fit Kit multi-grain range will own the platform of active health and is entirely focused on health and fitness. The Special edition will offer Sunfeast consumers a smart and sporty Sunfeast Open slam band for them to cherish this tournament.

Making the launch even more special, Sachin Tendulkar - world’s most revered cricketer also came forward to embellish the Sunfeast Avenue of Stars by etching his hand imprints on a special tile. Sunfeast Avenue of Stars is a tribute to world famous icons in various fields located at the Millennium Park on the picturesque banks of river Hooghly.

“The Sunfeast Avenue of Stars was inaugurated last year and it already features hand imprints of leading tennis stars like Martina Hingis, Mahesh Bhupathi and our own Sania Mirza. We plan to develop this walkway as a popular tourist destination with imprints of many more global icons in the near future” added Mr. Naware.

Sachin set his handprints on the tile, which later will be placed in the Sunfeast Avenue of Stars, Millennium Park. Designed on the lines of Hollywood’s Hall of fame and with primary focus on tennis, the Sunfeast Avenue of Stars will feature handprints of famous stars from various fields visiting the city in future editions of the Sunfeast Open. The initiative is aimed at establishing a historical tourism spot in order to promote tourism in the City of Joy, and to consolidate Kolkata’s position as India’s ultimate tennis destination.

Also present at the occasion was tennis star Sania Mirza. The two stars from the field of cricket and tennis discussed the importance of good health, which can be maintained through a disciplined fitness regime and the right intake of selected food. Just like Sunfeast Sachin’s Fit Kit helps in remaining active and energetic through the day with its vitamin and protein enriched ingredients.
