We formalize our nutrition goals with this policy as a guidance to work with all our stakeholders and encourage them to lead a balanced life while enjoying our delicious offerings.
Our Policy
This policy strives to amalgamate our commitments towards supporting the national health priorities while delivering on the promise of consumer gratification by-
- Continuously enhancing our understanding of the consumer demands for products which are best suited for their dynamic lifestyles.
- Constantly evaluating the national nutrition & health data (National Family Health Survey, National Nutrition Monitoring Board surveys, Comprehensive National Nutrition Survey etc.), along with key commitments made under the National Health Mission (Poshan 2.0) in conjunction with the key SDG targets.
- By evaluating the various underlying factors which impact the accessibility, affordability & sustainability of food value chain and the food products in line with our agri-sourcing strategy.
- Closely working with our R&D teams to develop science- based, innovation-led platforms and undertake strategic projects as a part of our Innovation & renovation product and process pipeline.
- Delighting our consumers with new & improved offerings which can help them meet their nutritional requirements, while ensuring the appeal of our brands.
- Focusing on highlighting the importance of Portion Guidance through our product and brand communication.
- Providing all relevant nutrition information transparently on product labels in line with our 'ITC Limited's Foods Division Labelling Policy'.
- Ensuring responsible marketing & communication principles across our value chain, in line with our 'ITC Limited's Foods Division Marketing & Communication Policy".
- Promoting nutrition, health & wellness of all our employees by empowering them with right knowledge and appropriate tools to help them live an active lifestyle.
- Collaborating with appropriate partners like policy makers, academia, public health institutes & industry bodies to develop a sustainable ecosystem for various nutrition & health based initiatives.
- Engaging in health and nutrition specific CSR & sustainability initiatives to address public health issues of our country.
