ITC's Paper and Paperboards factory in Bhadrachalam, Telangana, recently received the prestigious "GreenCo Platinum +" rating by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The largest paperboard manufacturing unit of ITC met all the requirements defined in the Green Company Rating System Platinum Plus Guidelines (Version-3 guidelines), and was evaluated on ten broad green parameters, including greenhouse gases (GHG) reduction, renewable energy use and more.
Over the years, the unit has made constant efforts to improve its green credentials through innovative initiatives. Like all of ITC's factories - including paper and paperboard manufacturing units in Tribeni, Kovai and Bollaram - the Bhadrachalam unit has stayed committed to sustainability and the pursuit of excellence.
