Today is the International Day Of Plant Health designated by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. The Day calls to raise awareness and take action to keep our plants healthy, and safe from diseases or the effects of rising temperatures. In its third edition this year, the observance draws attention to the critical role that plants play to ensure food safety, nurture biodiversity and support sustainable economies and livelihoods.
For us at ITC, International Day Of Plant Health is an opportunity to highlight our carefully designed interventions that keep plants healthy - water stewardship, climate smart agriculture, biodiversity conservation, integrated pest management and the ITCMAARS ecosystem for farmers.
